Height
Height includes the pot, so it can perfectly fit the space you’ve measured.
The Fraser Fir is that little bit different, perfect for creating an original, unique look this Christmas. Popular in the United States and with demand beginning to grow within British homes, this tree is ideal for those that set trends. Benefiting from 'non-drop' needles like the Nordmann Fir, yet also with the added bonus of a wonderful citrus scent. Taller and thinner than other varieties, it is perfect for homes where space is precious, blending seamlessly into an already considered interior rather than dominating the décor.
This fir is elegant and subtle due to its compact pyramid shape and more upright branches. The feature that really sets this tree apart is its silvery blue tones, creating a strong look even before you begin decorating. The Fraser Fir will last about five weeks if given a fresh cut to the base of the trunk, placed in a water-holding tree stand and watered regularly.
Whilst the tree is indoors you need to place it within a decorative planter or atop a plant saucer (as you would a house plant).
When outside, you can leave it in the pot or even replant it in the garden. A good tip is that when you are ready to move the tree from inside to outside, don’t throw it straight from a spot near a radiator out into a blizzard.
If you can move it into a cool part of the house for a few weeks, such as a utility room, and allow it to acclimatise a little, this will reduce the chance of the tree being ‘shocked’ by the cold, and improve its chances of survival for next year.
The Pot-Grown tree is also a perfect option if you prefer the tree to be outside rather than inside during the festive period. Why not dress it with some colourful lights and brighten up those cold winter nights.
Very importantly our pot-grown Christmas trees are grown in their containers, rather than being transferred from soil to pot before sale. This allows for a full root system to form within the pot, providing it with the best chance at survival whether you keep it in the container or plant it in your garden. Beware of “potted” trees.
A “potted” tree will not survive for future years.
Make sure your tree is “container grown” to ensure its survival for many Christmases to come.
The Norway Spruce is the classic real Christmas tree. It embodies the essence of Christmas with its distinctive scent and lush foliage. For those that prefer their tree up for a shorter period, this is the perfect option. Ideally it likes to be outdoors, yet it will be happy inside as long as it is watered regularly.
