Nordmann Fir: a crowd favourite with symmetrical bushy shape, child and pet-friendly. Pot-grown for an eco-friendly and sustainable choice you can enjoy for years to come.
The Nordmann Fir is a firm favourite. A ‘non-drop’ variety of tree, meaning that you can cross ‘hoovering up needles’ off your Christmas To Do List.
Looking great for weeks on end, if kept watered properly, it’s ideal for those of us that just love Christmas and insist on having the tree up as long as possible. For anyone that suffers from allergies, the Nordmann Fir should be your first choice. The lack of scent alleviates those watery eyes and runny roses.
Therefore this is also your best option for kids and pets who, let’s face it, will spend a lot of time near the tree. The needles are soft and supple and won’t prickle tiny hands, feet or paws.
The Nordmann Fir has a full and bushy silhouette, with abundant foliage made up of vibrant dark green tones. Tiered branches create a delightful symmetrical shape, making it perfect for hanging decorations.
A Pot-Grown tree is the most eco-friendly Christmas Tree on the market. No wonder it’s becoming an increasingly popular choice every year.
For those of us that hate taking down the tree, this is the ideal option. On twelfth night you can just transfer it to the garden, so that you can enjoy it all year round. Then each Christmas you just bring it back inside – it will become your favourite Christmas guest in no time. Felicity’s mum has had one of these on her front porch since the year we launched the business – and to this day it looks blooming beautiful!
Whilst the tree is indoors you need to place it within a decorative planter or atop a plant saucer (as you would a house plant).
When outside, you can leave it in the pot or even replant it in the garden. A good tip is that when you are ready to move the tree from inside to outside, don’t throw it straight from a spot near a radiator out into a blizzard.
If you can move it into a cool part of the house for a few weeks, such as a utility room, and allow it to acclimatise a little, this will reduce the chance of the tree being ‘shocked’ by the cold, and improve its chances of survival for next year.
The Pot-Grown tree is also a perfect option if you prefer the tree to be outside rather than inside during the festive period. Why not dress it with some colourful lights and brighten up those cold winter nights.
Very importantly our pot-grown Christmas trees are grown in their containers, rather than being transferred from soil to pot before sale. This allows for a full root system to form within the pot, providing it with the best chance at survival whether you keep it in the container or plant it in your garden. Beware of “potted” trees.
A “potted” tree will not survive for future years.
Make sure your tree is “container grown” to ensure its survival for many Christmases to come.
The Norway Spruce is the classic real Christmas tree. It embodies the essence of Christmas with its distinctive scent and lush foliage. For those that prefer their tree up for a shorter period, this is the perfect option. Ideally it likes to be outdoors, yet it will be happy inside as long as it is watered regularly.
